Todays media seem to be making a fuss over the fact that some of the food served at various Gordon Ramsey restaurants is prepared off site.
One of the issues appears to be the high profit margins on the transfer price between the production kitchen and the restaurant. Surely they could mention that regardless of how you prepare a fish-cake that £9.95 per serving will include a substantial profit margin.
Many of the dishes mentioned are dishes that have a long cook time and would always require an element of pre-preparation regardless of wherever they are served.
I am not going to take any position for or against Gordon Ramsey and his practices but I have to question why the media does not do some more extensive research and provide balanced reporting.
Surely it is reasonble to point out that slow cook dishes cannot be prepared from scratch whenever ordered in a restaurant.
