How implementing an adequate supplier assurance system can help your business

Supplier Assurance

Due to the seemingly never ending risk of food fraud within your supply chain and the chance of bad publicity due to the popularity of social media it is more important than ever to have a quality supplier assurance system in place.

Food businesses who are certified against the BRC Food standard or other GFSI benchmarked food standards are required to have a supplier assurance systems in place.

These systems will typically entail supplier risk assessments followed by the completion of supplier self assessments by all suppliers followed by food supplier audits of high risk suppliers.

Once all of your suppliers are approved it is necessary to track supplier certification and ensure that all certifications are maintained up to date, and without an adequate supplier assurance system this is usually done manually which can be time consuming and demanding on technical teams.

QADEX have developed a supplier assurance system which helps simplify and automate this process whilst improving reliability and traceability of all your suppliers to ensure BRC 7 and other certification compliance. Progressive food manufacturers have been adopting QADEX to improve supplier assurance and reduce costs with great success.
